The next IGC Regional Conference will be held in Santiago, Chile, in November 2011.

Conference venue: Escuela Militar, Santiago, Chile

The LOC Conference Coordinator and the LOC Executive Secretary of the conference has accepted our proposal of holding a work meeting for the Commission in addition to the paper sessions, as in the previous General or Regional meetings. Thus our Commission will have its own meeting in Santiago. Our Commission meeting will be open to any participant, not just the Steering Committee, and Chilean delegates will be particularly encouraged to join to our Commission as new members.

In addition, any other scientist who has submitted water-related papers, even if he/she has not explicitly specified his/her will to deliver the paper in the Water Sustainability Commission, will be invited to join our meeting. The schedule of this meeting will be organized depending on the number of presentations.

The deadline for sending the abstracts is March 10, 2011.
